Supporting The Arts Throughout The New Orleans And Gulf South Area

Welcome to NOTA

Founded in 1984, the New Orleans Theatre Association (NOTA) is now a leading presenter of touring Broadway productions and other performing presentations in Louisiana. NOTA works together with leading producers and promoters to present first class, cultural offerings, to the New Orleans region. In doing so, NOTA ensures the citizens of the New Orleans and the Gulf South the opportunity to experience the very finest in the performing arts entertainment.

100% of revenues generated by NOTA activities are channeled back into the community in the form of grants and other support for a wide variety of qualified cultural, educational, and arts-based organizations. Our aim is to promote and develop skills and abilities in the fields of music, dance, theatre, and all related arts. NOTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING
GRANTS AND THE CORONA VIRUS

NOTA activities, like those of all other nonprofits, institutions, and businesses, will be affected by circumstances related to COVID-19.

Arts organizations which have been awarded NOTA grants for activities or performances this year that have been cancelled or re-scheduled are encouraged to hold onto funds received to date, with the expectation of notifying NOTA when their projects move forward later in 2020 or 2021.

If the project for which funding was received is cancelled altogether, those funds must be returned to NOTA.

We are not accepting grant applications for the next four months but will re-evaluate circumstances in September, 2020.

Thank you for your interest in NOTA, and we look forward to joining your organization and others in reopening our cultural community when circumstances permit.
